*This year International is offering a payment plan for the 2010 EFAM meeting in Boston. 1/2 of the payment is due in January and the other half will be due on April 1. The form can be found on the International website as well as a link to the form on the Division website.
TRAINING
CompuTrain is now offering complimentary 2-hour computer training workshops to IAAP members of all Houston-area IAAP Chapters. Seating is limited to 15 attendees and one IAAP member per company per class.

CPS/CAP Materials & Audio Recordings: FREE Public Access
All IAAP members as well as the general public currently studying for the CPS/CAP certification(s) now have full 24/7 access to classroom audio recordings and handout materials from the Bryan-College Station Chapter. There were numerous obstacles and setbacks in preparing the web page, but with the help of Mary Ellen Rowan, Certification Chair, and the IT group at headquarters, the files have been uploaded successfully and can be found here on our the Bryan-College Station Chapter website. Thank you for your patience!
New files are continually being added as classes progress. The material can also be used a good refresher for those who are currently certified.

IAAP has joined forces with a number of training providers to bring high-caliber seminars into your workplace. Some are audio conference podcasts; some are webinars combining an audio and web component. You pay one price, which includes a special member discount and an unlimited number of people can participate. No special equipment is required and all attendees receive recertification points.

Headquarters Reorganization and Staff Title Changes
In August, IAAP reorganized the internal reporting structure at its headquarters office and implemented staff title changes and responsibilities. This reorganization is in response to the outcomes of a recent IAAP action team that examined the work related duties of the executive director position. These are the primary changes:

Aaron Ensminger has assumed the role of senior manager of programs and services and will oversee the program areas of Certification, Education and Professional Development, Meetings, Corporate Relations and Communications and Publications in addition to web services oversight.

Emily Allen is now manager of publications and communications.

Joy Johnston has taken the position of senior manager of membership and distribution. Her oversight responsibilities will not change.
“Combining our programs, services and communications departments will allow us to more cohesively develop and market these areas,” said IAAP Executive Director Don Bretthauer CAE. “In addition, reducing the number of direct reporting contacts for my position will allow additional focus on the governance of IAAP including strategic planning and leadership development,” he said. “We continue to be blessed with experienced and talented staff at our headquarters office. I am confident these changes will make IAAP headquarters more effective in serving IAAP’s membership and volunteer leaders at all levels.”
