CHAPTER OUTREACH
          Irving Cares, Inc. 

 




(A United Way agency, partnering with the community, dedicated to providing Irving
residents with temporary assistance and training to become self-sufficient.)

This organization provides the following services:

  • Financial Assistance - help with rent, utilities, medical prescriptions

  • Jobs Desk - matching clients with employers

  • Emergency Food Pantry - providing nutritional food for those in need

  • Healthcare Access - helping clients receive medical treatment

As part of our chapter's support of this community organization,
please bring any of the following items to our monthly meetings:

 


WISH LIST

  • Breakfast Cereals (Hot and Cold)
  • Pancake and waffle mix (smaller boxes)
  • Peanut Butter (small to medium sized jars, plastic jars preferred)
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Spaghetti sauce mixes and brown gravy mixes
  • Rice and Noodle meals
  • Flour (small bags)
  • Soups
  • Sugar (small bags)
  • Canned vegetables - all varieties (except green beans and corn; we have plenty)
  • Instant potatoes
  • Juices (plastic or metal containers preferred)
  • Stick margarine (we freeze it)
  • Hand-operated can openers and single-serve canned meats for transient families
  • Jellies, marmalades, honey, syrup (plastic jars preferred)
  • Body soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and dish soap
  • Tuna fish
  • Cooking oil (small bottle)
  • Spam or other meat products (i.e. chili with beans)
  • $$$$ Cash donations $$$$
