Summary: 
The intensive computer user may be plagued by a variety of physical complaints in the workplace, ranging from tired eyes to sore wrists and back.  In many instances these issues are the result of poor workstation design and/or poor work practices.  This presentation provides you with a short list of things you should consider if you spend considerable time on the computer. 

 

·  Do you know how to adjust your chair (most people don’t)?

·  Do you know how to mouse (again, most people don’t, and most workstations are set up as if a mouse is used like a keyboard)?

·  Do you know that breaks and stretching may be more important than ergonomic “gadgets” at your computer?

·  And how do I know when something is “ergonomic?”
